In celebration of the 70th anniversary of the Pavilion of Finland, Frame Contemporary Art Finland is set to unveil Aeolian Suite, a captivating piece by artist Jenna Sutela, at the 61st International Art Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia. This highly anticipated exhibition will run from May 9 to November 22, 2026.
Curated by Stefanie Hessler, Aeolian Suite transforms the Pavilion into a dynamic windscape filled with sound and motion. Drawing from meteorological data and an eclectic mix of musical instruments—ranging from a clothesline and wind machines to a children’s woodwind orchestra—the installation captures the essence of winds from Venice, Helsinki, and beyond.
“The Pavilion invites us into a broader dialogue with the atmosphere—one that oscillates between scientific precision and poetic intuition, navigating the delicate balance between control and surrender,” states Hessler.
