OnniBus, in collaboration with Tallink and Lux Express, has rolled out an innovative travel chain that seamlessly integrates bus and ferry journeys from Finland to some of the most sought-after destinations for Finnish travelers. Thanks to this new initiative, passengers can now journey from their hometowns to vibrant locales such as Riga in Latvia, Kaunas and PanevÄ—Ĺľys in Lithuania, and the bustling capital of Poland, Warsaw. The entire travel experience is conveniently bookable through the OnniBus website or app.
The adventure begins on an OnniBus coach from various Finnish cities, culminating at Helsinki’s Kamppi terminal. From there, passengers can hop onto an OnniBus shuttle bus, which whisk them directly to Tallink’s West Terminal 2, where a ferry awaits for the crossing to Tallinn. The journey doesn’t end there; from Tallinn, travelers can board a Lux Express bus to make their way to cities like Riga, Kaunas, or the vibrant Warsaw.
This journey has been crafted to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience from start to finish, all accessible through a single ticket purchased via the OnniBus online store.
“Our goal is to provide our customers with a hassle-free travel experience—now expanded to international destinations through our partnerships,” explains OnniBus CEO Joona Hurmerinta. “This summer is the perfect opportunity for an affordable international getaway, allowing travelers to plan a trip from, say, Kuopio to Riga in one easy transaction.”
“Some opt for the bus to soak in the scenery, while others appreciate the affordability or the convenience—avoiding long airport queues and parking woes. The journey begins right in their own backyards,” Hurmerinta adds.
Summer 2025 International Travel Chains: Latvia, Lithuania, and Poland
The new travel chains connecting OnniBus, Tallink, and Lux Express will feature international destinations that promise enriching experiences:
- Riga, Latvia – Known for its charming Old Town, rich cultural scene, and the nearby beaches of Jūrmala, Riga is an ideal weekend getaway.
- Kaunas and Panevėžys, Lithuania – Kaunas boasts modernist architecture and cultural diversity, while Panevėžys offers a glimpse into authentic local life and a more tranquil atmosphere.
- Warsaw, Poland – A dynamic capital that beautifully marries historic landmarks with an energetic urban vibe.
