At the Saivo sauna nestled within the serene Finnish Nature Center Haltia in Nuuksio National Park, visitors can now partake in a rejuvenating sauna experience guided by an expert—our own Master of Sauna. The Silent Sauna offers a two-hour, holistic, multi-sensory journey, where a carefully curated steam ritual combined with the peaceful ambiance of the sauna allows participants to unwind and release the burdens of stress.

Mark your calendars for the inaugural Silent Sauna event on Outdoor Saturday, March 7. Whether you wish to reserve a spot for yourself or bring along a friend, we invite you to join us. While the spacious Saivo sauna can accommodate more, we maintain an intimate group size to ensure a truly relaxing atmosphere.

To secure your place for the Silent Sauna on March 7, act quickly—availability is limited.

One of our skilled sauna masters, Piritta Kallio, first envisioned this unique experience while enjoying a quiet moment alone in the Saivo sauna.

“The concept blossomed from my deep appreciation for the sauna, years of meditative practice, and the realization that these two elements could beautifully intertwine. In our fast-paced world, it’s vital to embark on a journey from the confines of the mind to the expansiveness of the heart, finding true stillness,” Piritta shares.

“You don’t need any prior experience with sauna bathing or meditation to join us. Come just as you are—whether solo, with a partner, or part of a group,” she encourages.

Welcome to the Sauna

Upon arrival, our sauna master will warmly greet you and outline the experience ahead. Leave behind the rush and pressures of daily life at the door: undressing and washing take place leisurely in our comfortable facilities, equipped with high-quality bathing products.

This Outdoor Saturday sauna session is open to all, regardless of gender, and swimwear is required in the sauna. We have separate facilities for washing and dressing to ensure your comfort. Our sauna host will be dressed appropriately in either clothing or a towel.

The Silent Sauna

The intention of the Silent Sauna is to immerse yourself in almost complete silence, embracing the calm. As the chatter of the mind fades, participants can listen to the whispers of their hearts. Feel free to close your eyes as the sauna master works quietly, generating steam, circulating warm air, and crafting a serene environment.

You are welcome to step outside whenever you wish—for a refreshing drink or to cool off on the scenic terrace, easily accessible from the sauna area.

Fresh drinking water is available both in the dressing room and the sauna area.

Guided Relaxation

Once the Silent Sauna concludes, you will find your mind, body, and spirit harmoniously aligned. To ease the transition back to the outside world, we wrap up with a guided relaxation and quiet reflection session in the Saivo sauna. Choose to relax seated or lying down as we serve light savory snacks and warm tea.

How to Book the Silent Sauna

If you’d like to experience the Silent Sauna as a group, please send an email to [email protected]. We’re open to diverse group dynamics; within your party, you can decide whether to sauna nude, in swimwear, or wrapped in towels.

For optimal relaxation, we recommend a maximum of 4 to 5 participants.

The Silent Sauna experience can also be offered in English, should you prefer.
