Discover Affordable Autumn Holiday Cruises

As the leaves turn and the air grows crisp, many of us begin to crave a break from the daily grind. If you’re dreaming of an autumn getaway but worried about the budget, consider setting sail on a short cruise—a delightful way to rejuvenate without breaking the bank.

We ventured into the world of affordable cruising to uncover what options are available during the upcoming autumn holiday weeks. For our research, we selected Thursday, October 16, as the departure date, revealing that weekday fares are often pricier on weekends. It’s worth noting that the listed prices are per person and do not factor in any loyalty discounts.

Setting Sail from Turku

If you’re departing from Turku, the Tallink Silja Baltic Princess offers a 23-hour cruise for an astonishing €22.20 per passenger. This price applies to a four-person E-Economy Lite or a B-Standard inside cabin, both of which are windowless and do not include a port disembarkation during the cruise.

Viking Line, meanwhile, presents an enticing option with its Piknik Day Cruise priced at just €12.50. The journey begins aboard the Viking Glory, and once in Mariehamn, you’ll transfer to the Viking Grace to return to Turku, arriving by 7:50 PM.

For those interested in a slightly longer journey, Viking Line also offers 24-hour cruises without land stops for €47 for morning departures and €51 for evening ones.

Budget-Friendly Departures from Helsinki

Cruising from Helsinki? There are many reasonable options to explore across the Gulf of Finland. Viking Line offers a day cruise to Tallinn starting at €19.

Eckerö Line’s mini-cruise, which also doesn’t include disembarkation, is priced as low as €15 for morning departures and €16 for afternoon ones. If you’re in the mood for a full day in Tallinn, that cruise will set you back €29.

Additionally, Tallink Silja Megastar provides a five-hour shopping cruise for €39.60. For a Day in Tallinn excursion, expect to pay a minimum of €36.80, while a longer 22-hour cruise is available for €56.

Keep in Mind

It’s essential to note that these prices were confirmed on Friday, October 3, and may fluctuate based on departure details and booking availability.

So, if you’re looking to indulge in a mini-adventure this autumn without overspending, these cruise options offer a refreshing escape that fits nicely within your budget.
