In a historic display of athletic prowess, Austrian ski jumper Stefan Kraft claimed victory at the World Cup normal hill race in Falun on Tuesday, solidifying his place in the sport’s history books.

With this win, Kraft has ascended the all-time points leaderboard, overtaking Finnish legend Janne Ahonen. The 32-year-old has now amassed a staggering total of 15,811 points across his 333 World Cup competitions. Ahonen, who competed in 410 events during his illustrious career, finished with 15,758 points.

This latest triumph marks Kraft’s 46th career victory, positioning him at the pinnacle of the all-time win list, where he shares the honor with the iconic Matti Nykänen. Since his debut on the World Cup circuit in 2012, Kraft has consistently demonstrated his exceptional talent and resilience.

In terms of Finnish competitors, Antti Aalto delivered a commendable performance, finishing 20th, while Vilho Palosaari secured the 38th spot.

Kraft’s achievements are not just milestones; they are a testament to the continued evolution of ski jumping, a sport that has seen remarkable talent over the years. As he forges ahead in his career, the sporting world watches closely to see what records will fall next.
