Jake Paul’s mother is expressing her outrage over the boxing match’s promoter.
In a recent episode of the Impaulsive podcast, Pam Stepnick unleashed her frustration on Eddie Hearn, the noted boxing promoter, following her son’s bout against heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua.
“I want to step into the ring and take on Eddie Hearn because I can’t stand his smugness,” Stepnick declared passionately during the interview. “He truly thinks he’s above everyone else.”
As many had anticipated, the match proved to be one-sided. Joshua showcased his prowess, overpowering the social media sensation and delivering a decisive sixth-round knockout.
Stepnick was particularly troubled by Hearn’s demeanor throughout the fight. She noted that he seemed to enjoy the spectacle a bit too much, which she found disconcerting. “It’s sickening to see that,” she remarked. “I really don’t like it.”
Despite the brutal outcome, Stepnick acknowledged Joshua’s gesture of goodwill. After the match, he approached her amidst the crowd and offered a heartfelt apology, saying, “Mom, just remember, this is all part of boxing and combat sports.”
Unfortunately for Paul, the fight has left him with a significant injury—his jaw was broken by Joshua’s powerful punch. Reports from the Daily Mail reveal that Paul will require dental implants and crowns, leading to a lengthy recovery period that could stretch up to six months.
